Plott Hound / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Buddy Brindle the Dog needs a home

The Moving Scenario Again...
Buddy Brindle was born about December 9, 2009 and weighs about 50 lbs. and could stand to drop a few like so many of us. What a really, really, nice dog that was tossed aside because he wasn't able to join his family on a move.  He is just a love!  Buddy is on the quiet side, great with other dogs, fine with cats, he's house trained, good on leash and will come when called when off leash with you while you do your chores.   He is also wonderful in a car.  He really should be move in easy for most any home.   The owners were not sure of children and did say he is nervous with loud noises such as gun shots and thunders like 90% of all dogs in my opinion.  We were also told he didn't like being taken by the collar, but of course we just had to try and his eyes did get a little sharp, but that was all and we lavished him with love as they softened again so that is a good experience that needs to happen over and over.  Buddy is a good boy and someone is going to LOVE him again!  Update:  Buddy was returned after being in a home for several months as he and his male owner were hugging/goofing around on the bed and Buddy did bite him in the face.  They were shocked, we were shocked, and we all decided he should live here awhile and see if our environment will help him loose his, every now and then, fear of humans.  He didn't bite aggressively, it was a quick reaction as he must have felt threatened in that moment.  It was one, done and run.  He has been here for about a year and he ADORES us humans and he is wonderful in our home and seems to feel at ease with other dogs that may help him when to feel fear an when it is not necessary.  He was the only dog in that home.  He comes to us for love and you can see adoration in his eyes.  However, his eyes do get dark and sharp at odd times an we just know to not overcrowd/smother him at that time.  So, now we know there should be no little kids in his future.  He is house trained, good on leash, travels well and good with cats.  Buddy is loved here, but everyone deserves a home of their own if it is possible so we are throwing all this information out there to see if there is a human willing to open their hearts and home to a dog that, obviously, had a terrible young life.
